Diana has demonstrated her ability to develop a strategic vision, share that vision for buy-in, and successfully work towards that vision. A prime example of this is the growth of our team to include CMS, and to expand our Design Language System (DLS) support for editorial content components. After making a strong case for CMS to move under the DLS UX team, she then immersed herself in the space and built relationships with partners to identify opportunities where DLS and CMS can be more integrated (and ultimately would benefit from dedicated headcount).

Diana is incredible at making things happen; nothing seems to intimidate her or feel like it’s too ambitious to take on. I think that is empowering to her team—ideas that offer value are considered seriously, regardless of how lofty they might seem at face value. I personally feel really supported by her when I’ve come to her with ideas that would require broad institutional changes and she works with me to strategize how to make these things happen.

Diana is highly organized in her own work and objectives which trickles down to her own team. Her team is always organized in their priorities and work. While still keeping space for one off tasks/projects that pop up. Diana will always go to bat for her team. If there is a problem or roadblock, Diana takes it upon herself to unblock and move forward. I trust Diana to help me where I need as well as push me to overcome certain roadblocks.

I have learned so much by observing her drive initiatives across the company — she is so skilled at fostering collaboration across teams, casting vision, and developing the strategy to get there. Her bias for action is inspirational.

Diana is a big-picture, strategic thinker who can also focus/narrow and execute long-term visions; the ability to thrive in this type of end-to-end planning and strategy is a rare trait. As a result, most (if not all) of Diana's undertakings have been successful, or adapted and continued with the changing needs of the business.

Diana is an excellent manager. She is great at delivering feedback, helping those she supports see their strengths but also where they can grow. I have really appreciated how she has given me actionable steps to advance in my career. I can always count on her to support me when I need it, and her counsel (whether relational, strategic, or design oriented) is invaluable. I’m so thankful she is my manager.

Bridge building- she proactively reaches out to, and partners with, teams across the organization. She is curious about their work and points of view, and inclusive in decision-making, resulting in quicker buy-in and smoother actioning. Team culture- she consistently recognizes others publicly and privately, conducts "PR" on behalf of the Design Language System team such as through quarterly newsletters, and promotes the group as an asset to the entire business.

Diana is an engaged manager and colleague; she takes the time to connect individually, give feedback and push for areas of growth and inclusion. She is highly communicative and transparent, and therefore comes off as very trustworthy. She also gives credit and praise when due, and understands the impact of such actions to morale and trust.

Diana has many strengths, chief among them is empathizing with others and taking action so that they feel supported. I'm confident that if I come to Diana with an issue or something I need to work through, she'll not only take the time and space to listen to me, she'll also recommend steps for me to take and/or take action herself, if that's the appropriate step. Most importantly, when she says she'll take action, she actually does so. This is critical, as she not only says the right thing in the moment, but also follows through with it—something that not all leaders do.

Diana is extremely good at seeing the strengths of her team, and finding — at times, creating — opportunities to let them shine. She also identifies valuable opportunities for the org/business at large, and is able to gather buy-in to act on them. Example: Prior to her involvement, the CMS team had received little attention, but she she saw an opportunity, presenting a strong business case illustrating the synergy between CMS and Design System programs, and the deep relevance to top business priorities. On the personnel side, this created an excellent opportunity for mentorship & collaboration, allowing her team to grow and flex their strengths.
